Weddings

The Whangarei Quarry Gardens is a superb wedding location.

There are many beautiful areas within the Gardens which are particularly suitable for wedding ceremonies and settings for interesting photographs.

The cost of holding a wedding in the Gardens is $300, including photographs. For photographs only it is $50.

We make sure your guests are welcomed and helped with parking, and that toilet facilities are made available.

Wedding Garden
The Wedding Garden is groomed especially for weddings with a backdrop of bushclad quarry wall and gardens of perennials and camellias, providing colour all year round.

This is the largest and most convenient area for your ceremony and easily accommodates 150 plus guests.

Cascade Dell
This lush green area is beside one of the many water features of the gardens with a stream cascading through ferns and bromeliads. An added feature is that this area is approached from across the 'Rotary Centennial Footbridge' which could provide an impressive entry for the bride.

Suitable for 20 to 50 guests.

Beside the Lake
With a magnificent 180 degree backdrop of the quarry wall, waterfall and lake with plantings primarily in a blue theme, this area can comfortably accommodate more than 150 guests.

Our gardens abound with areas suitable for photo opportunities, including backdrops of unusual plants or native bush, rock cliffs and old, interesting remnants of industrial machinery used at the original quarry.
